Rhodes Scholarship Winner Pursues Equity for People With Disabilities
Sara Rotenberg (NHS’20), a global health major committed to creating an equitable world for people with disabilities, was named a 2020 Rhodes Scholarship recipient from Canada. Rotenberg was a student in the India Innovation Studio.
Senior Devoted to International Development Policy Wins Marshall Award
Kyra Kocis (SFS’20), a 2020 Marshall Scholar, researched the social ramifications of technological modernization among hand block printers in Jaipur, India, with SFS associate professor Shareen Joshi. She also participated in the India Innovation Studio with Irfan Nooruddin and Mark Giordano.
Regional Initiatives Bring the Classroom to Life During Summer Trips to China, India
Led by India Initiative Director Irfan Nooruddin and Mark Giordano of the School of Foreign Service (SFS), the India Innovation Studio is a yearlong SFS Centennial Lab—experiential learning courses that allow students to apply theoretical and practical solutions to an issue in a real community.
