The India Initiative Lunch with the Professors Series is a year-long speaker series launched in December 2016 that convenes students and faculty for conversations about India and its relationship to the United States and the world. On March 31, the India Initiative hosted Vicki Arroyo, executive director of the Georgetown Climate Center at the Georgetown Law Center. She joined students for a conversation on India’s role within the global climate framework.
Professor Arroyo discussed India’s stance in climate negotiations and the role that states, provinces, and cities can play in promoting the adoption of clean energy, based on approaches that have worked in multiple countries.
Vicki Arroyo is executive director for the Georgetown Climate Center, where she oversees research on climate and energy policy; assistant dean of centers and institutes; and professor from practice at the Georgetown Law Center.
