Rupi Kaur, a contemporary feminist poet, writer, and spoken word artist, traveled to Washington, D.C. for a presentation of her work. Ms. Kaur currently lives in Toronto, but was born in Punjab, and her poetry focuses on themes of immigration, race, gender, love, abuse, and femininity.
