The gala was organized under the leadership of AIF’s Chief Philanthropy Officer Venky Raghavendra, and Georgetown University’s India Initiative participated as AIF’s knowledge partner. The U.S.-India Business Council and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry served as gala partners.
Notable guests included His Excellency Shri. Arun Kumar Singh, Indian ambassador to the United States, Neera Tanden, the president of the Center for American Progress, and Bollywood actor Omi Vaidya, among other prominent members of the D.C. area's Indian-American community.

AIF is a chapter-based nonprofit working to promote social and economic change in India and enhance cooperation and communication with the United States. One hundred percent of the funds raised at the gala were directed towards AIF's programming, such as providing healthcare for women and children in rural India.
