The India Initiative was excited to partner with the South Asian Society in bringing Hasan Minhaj to Georgetown University. The event began with a moderated discussion with Minhaj focusing on his work related to culture, politics, and social justice, as well as the role of his South Asian identity in that. An audience Q&A followed the discussion.

Minhaj worked for The Daily Show from 2014 to 2018 and was the featured speaker at the 2017 White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Minhaj also has two shows on Netflix: his award-winning stand-up comedy special, Homecoming King, and weekly comedy show, Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj.
